​According to the 2018 State of Women Owned Business Report commissioned by American Express, women owned businesses are on the rise, but only 20% of those are owned by African American women in the US.

Of those businesses, revenue made by these entities are at a staggering annual average of $24,700 vs.  $143,100 among all women owned businesses.

​

Ironically enough, Brookings News reveals that Black women are getting more college degrees than ever even though it does nothing to close wealth gaps.  We still remain overworked, economically frustrated and discouraged in our attempts to break the glass ceiling.
